BIG Fraud Exposed At CBN, Top Officials SUSPENDED

The Nigerian apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has disclosed some of its top officials have been suspended over a sophisticated plot to defraud the bank.

The bank on Thursday night said it has commenced a full and unfettered investigation although it noted that preliminary investigations so far had not revealed any accomplices within the CBN.

The Acting Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, stated, “This incidence has been reported to relevant authorities. The CBN wishes to assure the general public that the security of the bank remains intact.”

The details of the fraud was not disclosed as at press time.
