The senate at its plenary today agreed to suspend the proposed amendments. Many believed that the proposed amendment of these acts was in favor of Senate President Bukola Saraki who is presently on trial for the alleged false declaration of assets.
The senate also agreed to step down the petition against Senator Kabiru Marafa who has always been against Saraki.
