#OccupyNASS: Anti-Saraki Protesters Take Over National Assembly, See Photos
The #OccupyNass protesters demanding the immediate resignation of the embattled President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki have blocked the major entrance leading to the National Assembly complex, Daily Trust Newspaper says

Members of Citizen United for Peace and Stability today, April 26, besieged the National Assembly following a reported closed-door meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and ten senators in the Senate. 

The protesters who marched from the Unity fountain arrived the main entrance of the National Assembly around 11: am.

The protest, according Daily Trust, forced the security personnel at the National Assembly to lock the main gate.

The protesters carried flag of the country and placards that reads: "Saraki must go", "Enough is enough", among others.

The youths made up of various Civil Society Organisations and students, were also demanding that the federal lawmakers should immediately revisit the grey areas identified in the 2016 budget by President Muhammadu Buhari.

They also asked 36 senators who had so far collected their own exotic jeeps to return them immediately or face the wrath of Nigerians.

The civil society organization in one voice, called for the immediate resignation of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, over the myriad of corruption cases preferred against, the purchase of SUVs for senators at exorbitant price, as well as an alleged attempt to frustrate the 2016 national budget. According to the protester, they will not stop in their protest until Saraki tenders his resignation letter.

Meanwhile, the embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday said the protest which is currently on going is an attempt to stir unrest and settle political scores on the street

Saraki in a statement released this afternoon by his media officer said the protest slated to hold in Abuja tomorrow is planned to stir public disorder tomorrow through a sponsored demonstration that will seek to ground human and vehicular activities on some major streets of Abuja, particularly, those leading to the National Assembly Complex.

The statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the Senate President, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki's Offfice stated that the sponsors of the protests are determined to ground the operations of the National Assembly to prove the point that the members should move against the leadership of the Senate.
