Some protesters believed to be supporters of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose have besieged major streets in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital to protest against the down tool protest action by the state's Nigeria Labour Congress.
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Ekiti State chapter had few days ago embarked on strike to protest five months unpaid salaries.
The protesters this morning carrying various placards with various inscription are berating the Labour for going on strike.
Some of the placards inscribed; "Fayose Can't Give What he Doesn't Have", NLC is on political strike", "Fayemi is responsible for Ekiti hardship" and so on.
Governor Fayose had reportedly said he would not sell the members of his family to pay the workers since the state is insolvent. He accused his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi, now minister for Solid Mineral as being responsible for the current insolvency of the state.
