The National Executive Council of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, at the meeting held Saturday at its national headquarters in Lagos, announced the sack of its acting national chairman, Vincent Okumagba, for gross misconduct, anti-club activities, abuse of office and flagrant disrespect for constituted authority.

According to a statement released by the acting Public Relations Officer, Balogun Hafeez, the club have known no peace since Okumagba, who was a chairmanship aspirant was appointed to the office when the former chairman late Bashorun, resigned on health grounds.
"He was appointment in acting capacities since a court order stopped the planned elections. Since his appointment to the office, the club have not known peace.
"He introduced thuggery, harassment and indiscriminate arrest of members. Thus bringing indiscipline and intimidation to the club amongst others, "Balogun explained.

He disclosed further that before the latest misdeeds of Okumagba, he once was recommended for a six months suspension from office and all club activities by the disciplinary committee.
" This was a man that was begging and rolling on the floor before the President - General of the club for forgiveness and with promises to henceforth be of good character and conduct.
"Imagine that he went on to unsuccessfully lure some members of the executive to another meeting he called for same day in Kwara state. Promising them cash and foreign trips with the entourage of the Minister of Sports. That was how desperate he was for power, against all agreed principles of the club," Balogun added conclusively.
