The multiple acclaimed killed leader of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau has once again voiced out saying there was a coup to dethrone him as the leader of the sect.
Reasserting his leadership, Shekau denounced the ISIS's declaration in an audio message and accused Abu Musab al-Barnawi, of trying to stage a coup against him.
Reports had it yesterday that the deadly terrorist group, Islamic State Jihadist group, ISIS, had replaced Shekau with Abu Musab al- Barnawi.
Despite claims by Nigerian military that it has defeated the dreaded Islamic sect, the Boko Haram, the Islamic State Jihadist group, ISIS, has announced a change of leadership in the sect inflicting deadly havoc in some West African state sub-region, Nigeria prominent.
The terrorist group said the leadership for its West African branch, Boko Haram, has been adjusted, BBC is reporting.
According to BBC, Abu Musab al-Barnawi, who was previously spokesman for the Nigerian-based Islamists, is featured in the latest issue of an IS magazine.
It does not say what has become of the group's former leader Abubakar Shekau.
He was last heard from in an audio message last August, saying he was alive and had not been replaced - an IS video released in April said the same.
