His Royal Majesty, the Oluwo Of Iwo Kingdom, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, The Telu 1 has been described as a role model among the Yoruba monarchs.
The Amir of Islamic Change Initiative, ICI, an Islamic organisation based in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Ustahd Ahmad Olitan Abdulahi extolling the uncommon virtues of Oluwo while on a courtesy visit with his family members to the king's palace this afternoon said the Oluwo of Iwo is a wonderful Yoruba monarch he has never seen in his life.
Paying homage to the king, the Amir, Ustahd Ahmad Olitan said; "I come to pay homage to Oluwo of Iwo, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi (Telu-1) for his role model style that is always worthy of emulation"
"I also come with my family to also see with our eyes a distinguished just ruler that we only read his stories on great books, but never witness one"
" I come to pay a debt that my conscience owe a wonderful King that I have never seen before in my life and in Yorubaland. A King that have made history by leading an Eid Prayers in a very stron Muslim community that is well known with great Islamic scholars, which has, however, sent a message to the world, especially other Obas in Yorubaland, that their responsibilities to their people also include religion." the cleric said
