Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday refused to answer a question on the ongoing anti-corruption war of the present administration which has led to the investigation and prosecution of many of his aides.
News Punch had earlier reported that both leaders were in a secret meeting at Aso rock.
During an interview with State House correspondents after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Jonathan said it would not be appropriate for him to speak on the matter because many of the cases were pending in court.
He however, said the meeting which lasted less than 20 minutes afforded him the opportunity of briefing Buhari of his recent international engagements and future ones.
On the renewed violence in the Niger Delta, Jonathan said it was appropriate for him and traditional rulers in the area to mediate in the matter.
