Nigerian Tennis star Aruna Quadri's amazing run in the Men’s Singles table tennis event ended on Wednesday after world number one Ma Long from China defeated him in four sets; 11-4, 11-2, 11-6 and 11-7, in just 28 minutes of play
Quadri started strongly, sharing the first four points with Long 2-2, but from that point on the Chinese took over and the match was quickly over in just 28 minutes.
Long was just too strong a hurdle for Quadri to surpass but Nigerians and Africans will be proud of his record breaking efforts as he became the first African ever to reach the quarter final of the Men’s Single event in an Olympic Games.
