Super Eagles of Nigeria Gets New Foreign Coach After Le Guen's Snub

The Nigeria Football Federation in it quest for a place at the 2018 World Cup in Russia may have secured a new foreign coach for the national team, the Super Eagles after Paul Le Guen snubbed the job last month.

The national team will hence be piloted by German tactician Germot Rohr with words rife that the former Niger Republic, Burkina Faso and Gabon soccer team’s manager expected in Abuja later today from Paris, The Nationa Newspaper says

News Punch gathered from our source that that Rohr may meet with members of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja to consummate the contract that will last for three years.


The German tactician, it was gathered will watch the Nigeria Premier League game between Ikorodu United FC of Lagos and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan at the Onikan Waterfront Stadium on Sunday.

Rohr will on Monday be introduced to the public as the new Super Eagles Technical Adviser and he is expected to work with Salisu Yusuf, Imama Amapakabo, Enugu Rangers chief coach and goalkeeper trainer with Nasarawa United, former Eagles’ goalkeeper Aloy Agu.
