There is palpable confusion as the All Progressive Congress, APC National Working Committee, NWC has reportedly ratified the rejection of Ondo State gubernatorial primary election that saw Mr Rotimi Akeredolu as the party's candidate, but yet report says his name was eventually submitted to the Indepedndent Nation electoral commission, INEC, News Punch has learnt
According to a party chieftain, Mr. Bola Ilori, the party' national working committee met today to ratify the decision of the appeal committee, which had earlier recommended the nullification of the result.
It was gathered that out of the 11 NWC members that was on attendance, 6 voted in favour of it cancellation while the other while 5 voted against
Bola Ilori posted on facebook; the post read" APC NWC finally ratified the rejection of the fraudulent September 3rd Primary at the meeting of the committee just concluded few minutes ago."
"11 members were in attendance, 6 voted for the cancellation and the submission of a surrogate name, while 5 voted for the submission of Bar Akeredolu's name."
"As the closing prayer was been said, the National Chairman sneaked out of the meeting while peoples eyes were closed for prayers."
"The whereabouts of the Chairman who's position was defeated at the meeting is now source of serious speculations."
"Some people are murmuring that the Chairman might want to attempt a unilateral submission of Bar Akeredolu's name in contravention of the NWC decision."

In related development, the All Progressives Congress, APC has finally submitted has submitted the name of a former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as its candidate for Ondo State governorship election, Daily Post reported
Akeredolu’s name was submitted to INEC by the National Organising Secretary of the APC, Senator Osita Izunaso.
The submission was done after the National Chairman of the APC and the National Secretary, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and Mai Mala Buni, had endorsed the INEC form for the purpose.
It was gathered that the candidature of Akeredolu was submitted to INEC around 5:30pm on Thursday. INEC, had on Tuesday, released a list of 30 political parties to participate in the Ondo Election
