2019: Gov. Fayose In Secret Meeting With APC Chieftain, Former Gov. Segun Oni

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on Sunday evening met with a former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Oni, in the Ifaki-Ekiti hometown of the latter.

Though the details of the meeting were not disclosed to newsmen, it might not be unconnected with political realignment going on in the country.

Fayose is of the Peoples. Democratic Party (PDP), while Oni is the Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Oni was previously in the PDP before defecting to the APC in 2013.

?The APC currently factionalised in Ekiti State, as there are contending caucuses.

Former Governor Kayode Fayemi, Oni, Senator Femi Ojudu and others are battling for the control of the APC in the state.

Fayose, on the other hand, is said to be working with some groups within and outside the PDP to align with some people to form another political party.

The said mega party could be ready before the next general election in the country in 2019.
