To enhance the quality of education and to promote reading culture amongst pupils and to care for the helpless children a Non governmental organization known as Hands to help international Foundation, h2h, in warri, Udu local government area of Delta state has donated food items and writing materials worth N100,000 to Potters house Church Orphanage Home in warri and distribute 4000 notebooks and mathematical sets to a schools .
The schools visited are Asamana Primary school, Arhavwarien , Ughievwen mode primary school, Otu- jeremi, God's Divine Special center Neurological Disorder School, in Enerhe village, Uvwie LGA and Makpa primary school 1 and 11, Oginibo,Ughelli South LGA in Delta State.
At a ceremony held to handover the notebooks , the Headmaster of Asamana Primary School Arhavwarien, Comr.Emmanuel Adeboke , hailed the Foundation and his member's gesture, saying the books would aid the pupils reading culture. That the foundation ,h2h, built on sustainable African development will go to places with these kind philanthropic gesture. That this organization have lifted humanity by contributing immensely to education of pupils.
Also speaking in the same vain, Comrade Tamesere Marshack, headmaster of Makpa primary school 1 and 11, Oginibo who also praised the Foundation for his dedication and commitment to service of humanity enjoined the pupils to emulate the chairperson and all members of the Board of trustee, B.O.Ts. Hands to help international foundation has surprised us, the impact the Foundation is making is tremendously felt by the pupils and their parents. She further advised the pupils to make use of the notebooks been given to them as a show of appreciation and remember the sacrifice the NGO and it's members made in providing the notebooks for them.
HRM, Solomon Okukeren 111, Ovie of Arhavwarien kingdom, applauded the Chiarperson, Amb. Chief Mrs Awhana Alakis Mercy, the founder of the organization and pst Eseoghene Dominion Diajiyeren of first Baptist Church, Otu- jeremi for the initiative, urging the beneficiaries to cherish the books, HRM said the gesture would outlive the foundation, because generation of pupils would read and benefit from the books, and the foundation have sown good seed that will continue to germinate. It is the duty of the pupils to let the seed grow by using the books and acquire knowledge.
Amb. Chief Mrs Awhana Alakis Mercy, h2h chairperson and Mrs Otejareri Happy , B.O.T member, said is a foundation of like minds , that they felt the need to assist the less privileged and pupils in getting access to quality education because of our passion to assist the poor in the society: " our passion prompted us to look into the areas of feeding the helpless kids and the areas were pupils who need good writing materials have access to them to fast their learning. We as mothers have always notice our children desires for quality books that would enable them to realise their goals and potential. We hope the books would enhance their learning and boost their reading culture in their various schools.
