17yrs Undergraduate Wonderkid Of Federal Polytechnic Joins Music industry

A 17 year old undergraduate student of Federal Polytechnic, located in Ilaro town of Ogun State, Olawale Kayode-Adedeji has ventured into music industry, as he is set to release his maiden album.

The Business Administration student, who is currently in 200 level at the institution,has already released the album premiere which has already gone viral on Internet and in some radio stations.

The hip-pop singer in an interview said he ventured into the profession having discovered himself when he was in JSS 2 at Victorotti Private Secondary. School in Abeokuta, as talented,and also knowing fully well that music inspires people and is the best way to pass message to people.


'I discovered my music talent when I was in JSS2 class at Victorotti Secondary School,in Abeokuta,Ogun State Capital. I also see that music inspires people and is the best way to pass message to the people,and I see it its ‎my talent so I have to pass messages',he said.

Speaking further, the Ijesa born upcoming artise explained that, the music will not affect his academic performances,and would not be distracted in the course of his educational careers

'I am presently in my OND class and in my second year studying Business Administration at Federal Polytechnic,Ilaro, and God on my side, I would ensure that,my academic does not affect my music,vice versa',he emphasised.

The young artise,popularly called,'Wallace' said he was still looking for sponsor after his premiere,so that, he would be able to release the records on a music label,and equally shoot the video clips.

'I have just release my premiere after studio recording, and for now I have about seven tracks,which is gradually becoming a household name, but I must say this, I still need a sponsor for me to have a record label,and also shoot the video',he pleaded.

The titles of some of his tracks include; Oyinbo, Bless me and In the Club among others‎. He said the lyrics were perfectly arranged to the taste of music lovers,particularly his fans,adding that, he is also looking ahead of starting public outing,expected to start campuses of higher institutions

On his parents position to his love for music,said her mummy was not supporting him for now,thinking he(Wale) is just taking music as a joke,while his father encourages him,but with a warning and caution note that he should not derail from his education.

'My mum does not take me serious,but funny enough she uses my song as a ringing tone on her phone. My dad on his own part, did not discourage me,but always emphasised that, I should not let music derail me from my academics',he added

The growing musician, whose father is a journalist, former Zonal Secretary,Nigeria Union of  Journalists,NUJ,‎and former National officer of the union,expressed optimism of hitting the music world positively if offer the needed assistance and support.
