Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello and it's agents have reportedly frustrated the bail condition extended to the social crusader, Austin Usman Okai by directing the state commissioner for lands and survey not to endorse the land title documents brought before it as part of the bail condition by keeping him permanently remanded in kotonkarfe prison one week after the court granted bail
A statement released to media men in Abuja this afternoon by the special assistant media to the detained PDP national youth frontiers Ekundayo Adigun accused the state governor of using the apparatus of government to frustrate his release along with meddlesomeness on the part of the security agents which include the DSS and the state police high command by hacking the social medium of the detained people's defender
Mr. Ekundayo reminded the Kogi government of the dangers of taking the laws into it's hand and security agents of compromise which does not augur well to the attainment of freedom of speech and human rights abuse
Comrade okai according to the statement has been denied adequate medical attention having fell indisposed as a result of protracted detention and stress of the social crusader
The media officer, Ekundayo Adigun appealed to PDP, civil society groups, International communities and well-meaning individuals to come to the aid of the social crusader as kogi government grand plan to kill him is still unfolding
Ekundayo Adigun regretted the attitude of kogi governor and security agents who were bent on scuttling his release long after meeting the bail condition provided by the Federal High Court lokoja last week
He warned on the consequences of still keeping the media blogger permanently in custody even after the bail condition has been provided to the fullest warning on prejudicial tendencies of the state government
