President Muhammadu Buhari is currently receiving the 82 Chibok schoolgirls released by Boko Haram insurgents.
State house correspondents were, however, barred from the meeting taking place at the official residence of the president in Aso Rock.
The girls had arrived Abuja earlier in the day from Maiduguri, Borno state capital, in military choppers.
After their arrival, they underwent some medical checkups at the Department of State Services (DSS) clinic.
Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president, had also met with them at the clinic.
Kyari had told Channels TV that the president was “extremely pleased and glad” over their release.
“Since the first set of girls were released last year, he gave instructions to all security agencies to leave no stone unturned until all the girls are released,” he said.
