The Ag President, Yemi Osinbajo has been advised not to sign the 2017 budget in isolation, as swearing in of new ministers is also a corollary to the functionality of the constitution and the powers bestowed on him is exercised
Kogi Patriotic Front Image maker, Abdulhamid Nuhu dropped this hint in a statement signed in Abuja after the FEC meeting presided by the Ag President without the formal engagement of the new cabinet minister which include Stephen Ocheni
The group said it has alerted the National Assembly on the dangers of the delay in engaging the new ministers even after the senate had ratified their appointment and due for engagement
According to Nuhu, the delicate issues like budget signing and swearing in of ministers, permanent secretaries, board chairmen/members derived its power from such ceremonies
He reminded the Ag president of the desire of its people to see the new minister, Stephen Ocheni sworn in as the people of the area have a lot of confidence in him transforming the area in a short time
The image maker said the presidency should not see the request of the people of Kogi as an affront, but a normal political format, language and deliberate request to have its own at FEC after a long delay and absence
