Lagos LG Poll: LASIEC Declares APC's Olatunde Samson Winner In Olorunda LCDA ...I'll Turn Olorunda Around, SAMOLA Says

The Lagos State Independent National Electoral Commission, LASIEC has declared Hon. Olatunde Samson Folorunso as the winner of yesterday's Local Government election held in Olorunda Local Development Area of Badagry.

Mr. Samson polled a total of 9,094 votes to defeat his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Suuru Babatunde Athade who polled 1,122 votes. Mr. Gbenga Ibile of Labour Party scored 574 votes while Mr. Wasiu Akee of Accord Party polled 409 votes

Samson Folorunso has since been declared by the returning officer of the LASIEC.

SAMOLA, as he is fondly called by his supporters while speaking with News Punch at his Ilogbo Eremi resident expressed gratitude to Almighty God who saw him through the Primary election and the election proper, yesterday. He thanked the APC Chairman, Mr. Adeniyi Balogun and all the leaders in Olorunda LCDA for the unflinching supports. He, however also thank the good people of Olorunda for the trust reposed in him by electing him the Chairman of the Council for the next 4 years.


Mr. Samson specially thanked his father, Chief Olatude Joseph, the Afobaje of Ilogbo-Eremi kingdom. He said the support he received from his father is unquantifiable.

The Chairman-elect further said he will ensure a total turn around of all facets in Olorunda. He said he will prioritize Education, roads rehabilitation, youths and women empowerment among others immediately he is sworn in.

"For a very long time I have yearned to be in this kind of position to help my people. The Backwardness of Olorunda for a very long time has been my major concern, Now that God has found me worthy, I will ensure there is a total turn around in all facets in Olorunda. Prominent among our problems in Olorunda is poor attention to education, bad roads, poverty among the women and youth, all these among many things we have planned, I shall prioritize", the Chairman-elect avowed.
