All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the State of Osun House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Rauf Aregbesola; expressing their faith in the party; stressing that electoral setback in Osun West Senatorial district was a wake-up call which would end up energize the APC in the future elections.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr. Goke Butika, the 24 APC lawmakers have expressed their unalloyed support for the leadership of Speaker Salaam, while they further reinforced their confidence in the leadership of the state helmsman for his seal to redirect the state on the path of development.
The APC caucus in the state parliament further affirmed their strong faith in the party, arguing that APC administration under the leadership of Gov. Aregbesola has saved the state from cheap death that could be caused by flood through proactive measures; secured the state from criminals that almost overrun financial institutions located in the state before he took the mantle through a coordinated security architecture.
The caucus also laid emphasis on Aregbesola's achievement in the area of education through his provision of state of art infrastructure which has become enduring legacy, and the school feeding scheme which has increased the enrollment of the pupils of school age coupled with other palliative measures like youth engagement and ambulance services.
The APC lawmakers acknowledged that some issues of public interest which drew the protest of the electorate during the last by-election of the senatorial seat of Osun West would be critically addressed as a listening government.
The lawmakers said the loss of the by-election has not in any way diminished the fortune of the APC government in the state, but a weight shedding exercise to renew its path with the people for better delivery.
