Globacom Nigeria has reportedly denied a subscriber, one Alh. Mukaila Mohammed Toto, a native of Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State who won a Hyundai Saloon Car star prize In it ongoing Glo Raffle Draw Lottery recently in Abuja.
According to Mohammed Toto, he was denied the star prize with the excuse that the line he has been using since 2013 was allegedly not registered.
Alh. Mohammed Mukaila who is also a car dealers cum grassroot politician, image maker won a Hyundai Saloon Car during raffle draw lottery organized by the management of Globacom Telecommunication's company at its regional head office Wuse 2, Abuja 14th November 2017.
Immediately after confirming him as the winner of the lottery with his phone No: 08053520253 Globacom Nigeria refused to present the car to him
Mr. Mukailu was shocked and said: " I have been using this line since 2013 which I personally bought and registered ".
" When they claimed there was desparity in the name, I was asked to take an oath which I did without delay but still Glo has refused to present me the car ". He further lamented.
According to him, the management insisted that his line was not a registered one then after, he re-registered the affected line in order to effect positive change this time around the Globacom is singing another song.
Mr. Muhammed Mukailu said wishes to use this medium to appeal to Globacom Nigeria to see his winning as God's favour and not by man or accident., and that his prize should be awarded to him
According to report, some prominent Nigerians have waded in, to ensure the telecom giant redeem it promise to the winner.
The people involved include president Abuja traditional council of chiefs, a first-class ruler of Abaji Kingdom, HRM Alhaji Baba Yunusa (Onah of Abaji), a former senator federal republic of Nigeria, who represent the Nasarawa west senatorial district from 1999 - 2011, Distinguished Senator Alhaji Abubakar Sodangi and other numerous sympathizers.
Some Nigerians are calling on the Globacom to do the needful hence to sustain the good integrity of Globacom Nigeria.
Many were of the opinion that the telecom giant was not sincere, if it were, such unregistered line should have been deactivated on the directive of the National Communication Commission, NCC.
Recall the NCC fine NTN N780billion for not deactivating unregistered line.
The Winner, Alhaji Mukaila Mohammed Toto has said he was resolved to approach the court should Globacom Nigeria refused to award him the prize.
