The letter written by former President Olusegun Obasanjo warning President Muhammadu Buhari not to conceive the idea of seeking reelection has reportedly unsettled the Presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The media team of President Muhammadu Buhari led by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media, according to sources has started putting their heads together to come out with an appropriate response to the letter.
The Presidency according to The Nation on Tuesday said it will not comment on the letter released by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in haste
The letter, among other issues, had criticised the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Apart from advising Buhari to proceed on retirement after his first tenure expires next year, he said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was not better than the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and publicity, Garba Shehu, simply told journalists “We won’t comment now.”
