Real Madrid are interested in signing not only Eden Hazard from Chelsea, but also N’Golo Kante, according to reports in Spain.
Los Blancos are understood to be keen on making some marquee signings having been relatively quiet in recent transfer windows.
Hazard has been consistently linked with a move, with the Belgian eyed as a potential long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. The style and personality of the player ensures he fits the profile of a Real Madrid ‘Galactico’.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is also keen on Hazard’s team-mate Kante.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial report that the French coach has asked Real Madrid present Florentino Perez to make an offer for his compatriot.
Chelsea would likely resist any attempts to sign Kante, with the former Leicester midfielder having made a huge impact since moving to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking yesterday, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said players would only be allowed to leave if replacements can be found.
‘Our squad is not big. For this reason I think it’s impossible to send on loan one player or to sell one player, if we don’t take another player.’
