REP. MATO AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP TO ORPHANS, APPEALS TO WEALTHY NIGERIANS TO HELP ORPHANS AND NEEDY CHILDREN

The member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorothy Mato is making munificent impact through her philanthrophy and love for the human race. She awarded scholarship to seven (7) orphans in Benue State. She is feeding, clothing them and gave them shelter. The scholarship covers their education from nursery school to any higher institution of their choice.

These orphans are presently in various primary and secondary schools in Gboko, Benue State. They are extremely happy that they now have a bright future just like those whose parents have given them. It has been more than three (3) years since Hon. Mato took them in.

Apart from these ones, there are numerous orphans she has significantly changed their lives and is still doing so by donating various items to meet their basic needs. A lot of her impact in this regard has not been known by many people because she refused to draw the attention of the media to them saying it is not every philanthropic service that should be publicized. However, she believes that publicizing some philanthropic services will encourage and challenge others to do the same.

In a statement issued through her media department on Saturday, March 17, 2018, she appealed to wealthy Nigerians to use part of their accumulated wealth to elevate the human race and help the needy by also touching the lives of orphans and children. She appreciates those who have done and and still doing so. According to her, giving food, cloths, shelter and other items to orphans and needy children, showing them our love and care is one way that God can use us to bring hope to their despair.
