AT LAST, faces of some daredevil armed robbers who killed many souls in the famous Offa bank robbery in Kwara state have surfaced
The Nigerian police authority released the pictures of suspected robbers, who raided several banks in Offa, Kwara State, on April 5, 2018.
According to the Police, progress is being made in its investigation into the heist in which over 30 people, including policemen, were killed and millions of naira stolen.
Police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said that the hoodlums were being monitored by the International Police and shall soon be apprehended.
It said, “Photographs of these wanted suspects are now being released for assistance from the general public for information to arrest them.
“They are also being placed on INTERPOL watch list and Red Alert. Other sister security and safety agencies are equally implored to arrest and hand them over to the nearest police station or formation across the country or avail the police with any information they may have or come across about these suspects.”

“Protection of the informant will be guaranteed by the police and handsome rewards in addition to the pledge of N5m by the Kwara State Government awaits anyone whose information leads to the arrest of these wanted suspects,” the statement added.
It also said that the 20 suspects in custody were cooperating with investigating officers.
Meanwhile, the police have attributed the shortfall in the April salary of policemen to a system error, which is being addressed.
The force assured that affected personnel would get their salary differential by Monday, adding that it was working in conjunction with the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation “to ensure that all the identified problems in the payment of salary of personnel across the country are permanently resolved.”
