Court of appeal, Abuja division has dismissed an application by AM Alfa to remove the kogi east senator, Atai Aidoko Ali from office and swear him in,and adjourned the matter till September 18 for fresh hearing
This is contrary to media reports that quoted Barrister Egwuaba,lawyers of Isaac Alfa that the motion for stay filed by the senator was vacated,but rather refused to toe the line of Appeal court judges that ordered both parties to file processes of hearing by exchanging briefs
PDP,Aidoko and AM Isaac Alfa have filed sepreate appeal at the court to determine the judgement of the federal high court
The appeal court judges ordered all parties to consolidate the matter as well as commence all the processes before the new date
The appeal court judges went on recess but was forced to set up a vacation panel by AM Isaac Alfa(rtd),to commence the hearing of the case.
Kogi east senate tussle may not be far from been over as the judges of the appeal court warned that all parties must tidy up and dismissed the motion for accelerated hearing brought by lawyers of AM Alfa of PDP
Kogi east senate was a pre-election matter sInce 2015, that was ordered by the supreme court for fresh retrial and it is expected to route through the apex court for final judgment
