2019: 3 Benue Communities Donate Campaign Offices To APC Lawmaker

Rt. Hon Mrs Dorothy Mato, the member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State yesterday commissioned three campaign offices in three communities from Konshisha LGC of Benue State which include Jovkyundan, Mbakyase; Ikyoor and Ugambe, Iwar-nyam all in Shangev-Tiev.

These offices were organized by members of the various communities to support Hon Mato for the good work she has done within her one year and one month in office as their representative. 

At the commissioning of the office at Mbakyase, the APC Chairman Mbakyase, Hon Numbena Ukpum applauded Mrs Mato for her impact not only on the Shangev-Tiev people but the entire Konshisha and Vandeikya LGCs. 

One of the organizers of the offices, Mr. Mofa Nyiyongo popularly known as "MC" who was very happy for potent impact of Hon Mrs Dorothy said even when he was in PDP before defecting to APC, she gave him the support he needed including those of his community regardless of his political party. He said when it comes to generosity and community development,  Rep Mato does not care about which political party an individual or community supports but does that from her heart. He said he was moved by her goodwill and left PDP to join her in APC so that together the desired impact can be made on the people of Konshisha and Vandeikya.

The APC Chairman in Konshisha LGC, Hon Anula Gbaden said the time has come for APC to be more united so that victory can be assured in 2019 election and called for overwhelming support for Rep Mato to victoriously emerge winner in her election next year.

Mr Daniel Ikpagher, an official of the National Vanguard 4 Buhari/Jime and all APC candidates appreciated Mrs Dorothy for the good work she is doing and assured her that they will rally enormous support for her to be re-elected and keep the good work going. 

The Senior Legislative Aide to Rep Mato and Director General of her campaign, Hon Teryila Ugba Alough who is from Jovkyundan, Shangev-Tiev appreciated Hon Dorothy for giving him such position and also giving employment to some sons and daughters of Shangev-Tiev. He called for unswerving support for Rep Mato so that she would continue with her good work for the people. 

Hon Henry Hemba, the APC candidate for Benue State House of Assembly  in Konshisha eulogised Hon Mato as a woman who has made commendable impact on her constituency and appealed to the people to continue to give her their unswerving support. 

In her speech, Rep Mato appreciates them for the support they have shown to her by donating the office to her. She appealed for support in the forthcoming election and admonished youths to stay away from politics of violence. 

At the commissioning of the office in Ikyoor, the youths and elders spoke with one voice in support of Hon Mato. They appealed to her to bring the rural electrification project to the community which she promised to do. 

At the commissioning of the office in Ugambe, Iwar-nyam, the APC Chairman of Iwar-nyam,  Hon Iortyua Tser assured Rep Mato of their support. 

Elder Charlse Kyura commended Mrs Dorothy  for always remembering them in her activities and for the impact she has made on them and assured her of their votes for her. 

Dr. Henry Ihwakaa, former special adviser and former director of Land and survey in Benue State said Rep Mato has nothing to worry about as they all have one voice in her support. 

Hon Mato was overwhelmed by the unswerving support shown to her and promised them that if they will vote for her in 2019 to continue with the good work, she will make tremendous impact and will not contest again in 2023 and would hand over the flag of the party for that position to someone else the community might find worthy in Shangev-Tiev.

Associate Prof. Bem Ajembe gave the closing remarks. He thanked Hon Mato and told her that the work for her re-election in 2019 is a done deal and she should never be worried by baseless propaganda.

Before her departure, Rep Mato and her entourage paid homage to the Tyoor of Iwar-nyam, Chief Unaha Koko in Shangev-Tiev, Konshisha LGC.
