Am Still Under Your Tutelage - Bonu, Sanwoolu's Adviser Tells Badagry APC Leaders

The special adviser to the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Art and Culture, Hon. Solomon Saanu Bonu has said he is still under the tutelage of the leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC of Badagry Local Government.

The newly appointed Special Adviser made the humble declaration yesterday  while playing host to the core leaders of the APC across Badagry Federation at Hunwaji Hotel, Badagry.

Bonu in his welcome address acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the leaders in making sure the road map of the APC national leadership is strictly adhered to in Badagry.

The Lagos  Governor's aide said his appointment and that of Mr.  Babatunde Mesewaku as the Special Adviser to the Governor and Permanent Secretary  respectively at the same ministry, the ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture did not come as magic but as a result of hard work and the goodwill projected by the people of Badagry during and after elections.

Bonu thanked the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu for the confidence reposed in him for appointing him to serve his dear state, Lagos.

He, however, urged theAPC leaders not to relent in their efforts to ensure unity among all stakeholders within the party. He said without unity, good governance will be in delusion.

"There is power in unity, with unity, we will  successfully clamour for what is due to Badagry at the State and national level, our unity will also ensure we are not seen as second pseudo among our contemporaries."

"Badagry is core among the IBILE of Lagos State which must not be shoved aside in terms of distribution of developmental projects, wealths and appointments within The state. But we cannot clamour for our rights in disunity.  Let us unite to make Badagry greater ", he said.

He further reiterated that the appointment of Mr. Mesewaku and himself at the ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture is an ample opportunity to further harness the tourism potentials in Badagry not well utilized in the past. He said it will further enable them lobby together to attract developmental projects to Badagry.

Bonu said he is still a son to the leaders, and will often welcome all suggestions, advice,  and correction that will be devoid of personal interest but that, which will  geared towards the development of Badagry where and when necessary. He appealed to the leaders not to hesitate on calling him to order whenever he may be derailing from the right path.

The Special Adviser promised to stand by the people of Badagry and make sure they are well represented. He also said he will ensure there is a good working relationship between him,  the elected officials (State and National assembly representatives) and all the Council Chairmen within badagry federation.

Hon Bonu in strong terms condernmed the incessant maltreatment of our people by the security operatives in badagry corridors. He vowed to ensure a stop is given to the menace as he described it as disgusting.

For these and many more, the leaders appreciated Governor Sanwo-Olu for his proactive measure on the disheartening attitude of security operatives (Nigeria Custom Service) shooting our people  (Students and our teeming Youths) recently. They also, acknowledged the efforts of the Commissioner for Health , Commissioner of Police and Antony-General of Lagos state for their unflinching supports.

The leaders further promised Hon. Bonu to stay true to the road map of the APC national leadership.

Hon. Solomon Sanu Bonu in his address acknowledged and appreciated Mrs Bisi Onala for are unwavering and unrelenting supports at all times for badagrians both home and diaspora.
