Following the disqualification of former Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Frankland Oyeins from the Bayelsa state APC gubernatorial primaries and the successful conduct of the primaries, some groups have called on the APC to consider him for future appointments

The Interfaith Youth Organization and the APC Concerned Youths for Good Good Governance who addressed a press conference yesterday in Abuja called on the leadership of APC to carry Oyeins along in the development of Bayelsa State.

The groups said after following the activities surrounding the APC Gubernatorial primaries in the state, Oyeins should not be left behind in the development of the state despite his removal from the race.

Led by Comrade Ishaq Godiya Adamu, the group lauded the transparent nature of the primaries and the statesmanly disposition of Dr. Oyeins throughout the exercise despite his disqualification.

"He has remained resolute in supporting the outcome of the Party primaries, by this action,  Oyeins has proven to be a true democrat, an altruistic leader and a committed Party man who follows the ideology of the Party and is on the same page with President Muhammadu Buhari's incorruptible lifestyle.

"Despite his brief stint in politics, he has demonstrated through incontrovertible actions what several others could not do for years

"We believe he will be an asset to the APC government both at the State and Federal level,he will be of great service to the people of Bayelsa state and Nigeria in general if he is considered for future appointment.

"We hereby call on the APC to reach out for his rich experience and expertise  to fast track the rapid development of the State.

The group said, as a mark of their  belief in him, they will be  visiting APC Secretariat soon to discuss with the leadership of the Party on the way forward.

They also called on Bayelsa residents and politicians to maintain the peace and conduct themselves in a responsible manner during the polls.
