The leadership and residents of Atinplome community in Olorunda local council development area of Badagry local government on Sunday , 1st December 2019 presented a merit award to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwó-Olú's Special Adviser on Tourism, Art and Culture, Hon. Solomon Saanu Bonu, who also doubles as the Community Development Association, CDA chairman of the community for his numerous contributions to the development of the area.
The community leaders led by Sheik Fadilat Abdulsaheed Akewuṣọla, the Chief Imam of Atinplome at the get-together organized in his honor, presenting the award described Hon. Solomon Bonu as Godsent. The clergyman said the Governor's aide has contributed in no small way in the development of the community. He said many developmental drive being witnessed within the community of recent were facilitated by him. He therefore, urged the Special Adviser not to relent in his efforts at ensuring more developmental projects are sited in the community. He said parts of things which the community still in dare need are; a public primary school, more electricity transformers to compliment the existing one and the quicker resolution to the lingering land issues engulfing the community.
Hon. Bonu in his response expressed joy, saying he was delighted for the honor bestowed on him. He said the honor is a challenge to further ensure more developmental projects are lobbied to the community. He, however, promised to do all within his reach to bring soccour to the residents of the community.
"Apart from being an aide to the state Governor, as the CDA chairman of Atinplome, my priority is to ensure rapid development of the community, the state appointments is a plus, hence, I would not mind exhausting all my strength at ensuring our community know no bound in terms of development. I will ensure I lobby the governments, both local and state to ensure all what are due to us as a community are not derided. All I demand from you is to always give your maximum support to my party, the All Progressive Congress and by extension, government of my boss, Babajide Olusola Sanwó-Olú, the Governor of Lagos State. This award you have given me will spur me to do more. Thank you and God bless", Bonu said.
