Governor Bello Matawalle approved the appointment of Sanusi as the new Emir yesterday, 6th May 2020.
According to Blueprint newspaper, the 40-year-old Alhaji Sanusi was a serving Major General in the Nigeria Army before his appointment.
His approval was contained in a statement issued to newsmen, signed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, Malam Zailani Bappa.
The statement said the approval followed recommendation from the Kaura Namoda Traditional Council as enshrined in the selection procedure.
Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed succeeded the late Emir Alhaji Mohamned Ahmed Asha who passed away following a brief illness.
While praying for the repose of the deceased emir, governor Matawalle wished the new emir a successful reign.
