Covid-19: Gov. Ganduje defies warnings, relaxes Kano lockdown

The governor of Kano State, Abudulahi Ganduje has announced the the relaxation of lockdown in the state in the wake of ravaging pandemic of Covid-19 and strange deaths killing many.
The governor made the pronouncement yesterday in Kano despite warnings from many that such decision could worsen the spate of death in the state.
He said he got the approval to relax the lockdown from President Muhammadu Buhari
The decision and came only 48 hours after he pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to relax the curfew that was imposed last Monday
Two prominent citizens –the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila Auta Bawo and the Head of Communications, United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Kano Field Office , Mallam Rabiu Musa –are among the latest casualties of the mysterious deaths.
