RAK Foundation Collaborates With Badagry Women to Create Awareness Against Rape

The Pioneer of Real Act of Kindness, (RAK) Development Foundation, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, on Wednesday said that his NGO is collaborating with Badagry Women Development Forum (BWDF) to create awareness on rape incidents in the city.
Ogunlende while speaking with press men in Badagry said that rape is a heinous crime which all and sundry in Nigeria should kick against.

According to the pioneer, everybody should condemn the evil of rape and any kind of domestic violence against women.

"That is why we are collaborating with women in Badagry to sensitize the public on rape. It is something that we all have to standup and kick against.

"My NGO is with them to create awareness, to spread the word and help our women to fight back from this evil act.

"Many ladies that have been the victims of this act, we are using the forum to tell them to speak up.

"Some of these victims who had been suppressed should use the forum created to speak.

"To men who are in the habit of committing rape, you are not a real man because real men don't rape," he said.

Ogunlende called on government to do more for victim of rape by creating centers where they could confidently report their cases.

He urged the government to collaborate with NGOs to spread the evil of rape, adding that collectively they should be able to fight the crime together.

BadagryParrot gathered that RAK Development Foundation donated 500 defence pepper spray to women to void the attack on them by any rapists.

Other items donated also include  publicity paraphernalia such as customized T.Shirts, banners and fliers.
