Afonja made the disclosure in a press statement made available to the media in celebration of the World Teachers Day, 2020.

In the statement seen by News Proof, the governor's SSA also described teaching as a profession that procreates other professions.

Below is the full text of the Press Statement :

WORLD TEACHER'S DAY: A Profession that Procreates Other Professions.

"Teachers are arguably our greatest public servants, they spend their lives educating our young people and shaping our nation for tomorrow."

All over the globe, the teaching profession is a noble profession as they are germane nation builders, because what ever a teacher sows today is what a nation harvests tomorrow.

A teacher procreates Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, President, Governors and all other professions.

With your ever reliable support, focus, professionalism, commitment and determination, we are confident of a brighter future and a nation we can all be proud to call ours.

You are always assured of our cooperation at all times.

Happy world teachers day to our wonderful teachers, may posterity be kind to you, your deeds will not be forgotten in the sands of time.
