The former and pioneer LGA Chairman of the APC in Olorunda made the disclosure at the formal foundation laying of block of classrooms, Head Teacher's office and modern toilets at the Local Authority Primary School, Mowo, in Olorunda Lcda of Lagos held yesterday, 17th November 2020.
Chief Akilapa, who among other party chieftains and faithfuls joined the Chairman during the foundation laying said the performance of the Local government chairman has beaten his imagination, hence, described him as the much awaited Messiah the the residents of the council have long been waiting for. He, however, declared that the entire leaders of the Council have resolved to endorse Samola for a second term in office.
His words: "Who else could have done better?" He rhetoric.
"Since the creation of Olorunda Lcda, many chairmen have come and gone, but none of them has done well like Samson to the best of my knowledge. I have seen nobody worthy enough to replace him as the council chairman. His performances has made me wonder who else could we have produced that would have done better. This is a chairman that has been commissioning several projects from one community to another. He has donated transformer my community at Ọ̀sun Egbado, Mowo here, and several other communities too. He built schools, health centers and many other projects across the nooks and crannies of the council. I have no iota of doubt that Samola is the long awaited Messiah we have thirsted for, over the years in the council."
"Therefore, I urge all APC members, and other party members here present, to support him as he seeks a return to office. At the APC leadership level, we have unanimously endorsed him for the second term. His endorsement was not a charade, but purely based on merit and excellent performances. In short, Samola has done what "Napoleon" could not do in our council," he concluded.
Earlier, the Council Chairman, Samson Olatunde reiterated his commitment at ensuring he delivers more uncommon dividends of democracy to all and sundry, residence in Olorunda. He said part of his commitment is the the laying of the foundation for the new school buildings, which will contain modern rest rooms for both teachers and pupils and a well equipped Head Teacher's office. He said the.
He said : "Despite the little allocation and resources available to us at the council, I will ensure we bring a purposeful governance to all in the council. I will make sure before the end of my tenure, more uncommon dividends of democracy are brought to the reach of all residents of Olorunda Local Council Development. "
