Off to raid Kampala. I will still do a complete article of my thoughts and observations about Rwanda from a Kigali perspective but in the mean time, here are some of the observations and things I have come to know about Rwanda from speaking with the locals and Nigerians I have met here.
Kigali is indeed a very clean, serene and environmental friendly city. The first thing you will see as you drive from the airport is the landscape. Truly, the country is indeed a land of a thousand hills. You can't miss the greenery. The streets are all lined up with trees and green grass. There's a certain freshness about the place and air. And their roads... Pure bliss. I didn't see a pothole in 3 days of touring Kigali.
There is a certain orderliness about the people. The citizens and residents follow rules 💯. There's a very high degree of sanity from the citizens. I can't imagine these people surviving in Lagos. The scenarios are really extreme.
If you are coming to Rwanda or East Africa in general, just carry your pepper jejely. The food is just vibes and insha Allah. All vegetables and then you will eat spaghetti tire. Be ready for chips and chicken all through your stay.
Also everyone here has a national ID card. It's easy to track citizens and also have records about them. The people are also very law abiding. 8 pm curfew and not even a stray dog on the streets. I don't even want to talk about the electricity. It was none stop. Naija really get a long way to go
Things are quite cheap here though. My guys bought some quality shoes and cloths at very affordable prices compare to what all these our Naija vendors offer. Like Marvin said, God has exposed you people
Rwanda is probably the safest country in Africa. All through the period of my visit, I didn’t hear of arm robbery, kidnapping, cultism, ritualism, stealing, or street urchins. President Kagame is doing a good job in Rwanda. The country seems to have gotten governance, infrastructural development, and economic development right.
They are building institutions across the country and it is just a question of time before Rwanda becomes the coveted bride in Africa.
Hopefully, I don't get lazy and I can write a complete article that gives much more details.
