Comrade Akanbi Saheed Afonja, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on youth development has described the new year, 2021 as a year of aggressive youths development and engagement in Lagos State.
Afonja made the disclosure in a new year Press Statement containing the new year goodwill message to all youths in Lagos State, made available to the media, on Friday, the 1st of January 2021.
The Governor's aide on Youths Development said, considering the array of plans and engagement in tandem with the THEME Agenda for Greater Lagos of Governor of Lagos State, for the youths in the new year, he has no doubt that the state's youths will witness an aggressive development.
His Statement :
"A society that cuts off from it's youth severs it lifeline because they are agent of development and peace in a state. Compliment of the season to the ever vibrant Lagosian youths, may peace joy and Upliftment be ours as we journey into the New year."
"It has been a very exhausting year, but here is a moment of break, let's seize the opportunity to brainstorm on creative ideas that can make the state, country and the world a better place for all."
"It is noteworthy to state that, with your cooperation, 2021 will be an eventful year, numerous youth engagement plans have been designed to empower, educate and develop lots of youth in line with the *THEMES agenda* for a greater Lagos. Pursuing the greatest good, for the greatest number of Lagosians, most especially the youths."
" We say a big thank you, for the teeming support you show at all times to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's administration. We can not but ask for more of this priceless support for our youth friendly Governor, his administration and as well as all APC government at all levels."
" It''s indeed a great privilege to be a youth, however let's desist from all sorts of lawless acts that can cause self destruction or make the society ungovernable. We must understand that no seed of development grows in a society where peace is absent, we must endeavor to maintain peace in the state."
