Ahead of the Delta State Local Government council election schedule for March 6, a leading Chairmanship Aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli North Local Gov’t Area of Delta State, Hon. Frank OSSAI has threatened to drag his party's caretaker committee led by Prophet Jones Erue Ode to the law court over what he described as imposition and denial of his electoral victory at the recent local government primary election conducted in his LG.

Ughelli North is also the local government of the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege.

Hon. Frank OSSAI, accused the APC of denying him the party ticket, which he clearly won. He alleged that the party hierarchy has, instead impose one Mrs Ese Edijana, who he defeated at the primary election with landslide margin.

In a telephone chat with News Proof correspondent in Abuja recently, Hon Ossai Calls for the immediate withdrawal of the Certificate of return from Mrs Ese Gloria Edijana and handing over same to him as the duly elected APC Candidate

“The elections were peaceful, and orderly; no case of fighting, disagreement or abuse of laid down guidelines ECXEPT IN AGBARHO WARD 1 AND 2”

“Thus, that declaring the election inconclusive was needless and avoidable mostly when the returning officers from these wards did not submit any complaint neither were there any negative reports from the field through them just because am leading/winning”

“However if there is any petition or a genuine petition should have emanated through the Ward Returning Officers who have the right to cancel the results from the ward and no one else, however such petition was never raises as all returning officer duly signed and returns thier results”

He said, vital information for consideration and noting that, Appeal Panel on LGA Chairmanship Primary Election never sat over my letter dated 30th of December, 2020.

I was never invited by any panel to listen to my petition.

He said,The election was declared inconclusive by the state returning officer in Ughelli North and no further directive or action was heard till this moment.

Speaking with the LGA Chairman of the APC in Ughelli North, Mr Obarokporor said, he was never briefed on the results of LGA Primary till this moment neither was he aware about how DSIEC form got to Mrs Ese Gloria Edijana because there was no results declared in the LGA.

He however, therefore calling on, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege, APC leaders and elders of our Party to use thier good office to save the party from needless litigation by withdrawing the DSIEC form from Mrs Ese Gloria Edijana and handover same to Mr Frank A. Ossai the winner of the primary election having pulled the highest total vote for the people choice and it will be Flagrant Disregard for Constitutional Guidelines and Breach of Laid Down Procedures”  Hon. Frank started
