Addressing an enlarged stakeholders of the party, comprises of leaders,elders, local government executives, Ward executives, women and youths, Omoleye said, " Charity begins at home, I come today to inform you that by God's grace and with your supports,that I want to contest for Ekiti Central Senatorial Seat in 2023".
Omoleye assured people of the zone quality representation at the Senate if elected.
" I promised, I will not disappoint you and I will not betray you".
The governor Fayemi's senior Aide also informed the gathering that an enlarged meeting will soon be called where he will make a full declaration of his ambition.
Responding,the local government APC women leader, Hon Bola Ojo, Chief Eyeowa and other notable party leaders, expressed delight that Omoleye decided to join the Senatorial race. They all spoke glowingly about his consistent, financial and moral support for the party.
Hon Omoleye encouraged members of the party to mobilize aggressively for the success of APC governorship candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, stressed that the continuity agenda of the progressive party is what can make Ekiti state to develop.
He was accompanied by the executive Chairman,Ado north LCDA, Hon Yomi Oso,chairman,Ado Central LCDA,Hon Toyin Ojo, Chairman,Ifedara LCDA,Hon. Sina Ogunleye, Vice Chairman,Ado local government, Hon Odunayo Idowu,former Chairman,Ado local government, Hon Ibitoye, while Hon Karim led the party leaders from Ekiti West Local Goverment.
Also present at the event were the lawmaker representing Ijero constituency, Hon Ademola Ojo, Chairman, Ijero local government, Hon Adeola Adeyemo, Chairperson, Irewolede LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Dupe Bakare, Chairman, Irede LCDA, Hon Gbenga Bobade and their Vice.
