Group congratulates Tinubu, recommends Andy Uba, other competent professionals as cabinet members to reposition Nigeria

By Dansu Peter

The Civil Society Action Coalition (CSAC) congratulated President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in the 2023 presidential election and urged him to appoint experienced professionals capable of repositioning Nigeria for prosperity, such as Senator Andy Uba.

In a press statement signed by its leaders, Dr. Larry Suraju, the national convener, Comrade Ajibade Samuel, the national secretary, and Comrade Obi Lawrence, the national publicity secretary, Tinubu's victory was described as "a well-deserved victory," but they urged him to look inward in the selection of his cabinet members who will competently transform Nigeria and extricate it from its current predicaments and woes.

The group stated in the statement that the President-elect should consider experienced professionals in critical sectors of development, such as Senator Andy Uba, who has gained both executive and legislative experience in public service over the years.

"We congratulate Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who, by God's grace, will be sworn in on May 29th." His election victory is well-deserved, as he excelled as governor of Lagos State, where he laid a solid foundation for prosperity."

"As a group concerned and disturbed by our great nation's current insecurity and poor socioeconomic situation, we urged the new administration to look inward and appoint experienced and professional individuals like Senator Andy Uba, among others, who have excelled in public service." The appointment of people like Senator Andy Uba, who has extensive executive and legislative experience, as cabinet members in critical sectors of the economy and infrastructure will accelerate development and the much-needed economic revival in Nigeria at this critical juncture." Part of the statement was read.

President Muhammadu Buhari will hand over power to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor who is now Nigeria's President-elect, on May 29th.
