Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha joined the service of the National Productivity Centre NPC as a Senior Productivity Research Officer in 1994. Before then, he was a Research Fellow with the European Economic Commission (EEC) prior to joining the Centre from 1991 to 1993.
He had undergone several local and International Productivity courses among which is the the Basic and Advanced Courses for Productivity Practitioners organised by the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO).
With indepth experience in both global and local research exposures, Dr Raji digressed from his professional calling that exposed him to more avenues that had enhanced productivity in our national life.
His frequent capacity building orientation and reorientation had opened a new area towards the desire to inculcate productivity as part and parcel of both formal and informal sectors in Nigeria.
Dr Raji's wealth of experience had also contributed in no small measure to the development of a robust template that had promoted training and retraining across the centre and other departments of government , Ministries and agencies in Nigeria
Dr Raji-Mustapha who obtained his first degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Entomology and Parasitology from University of Jos (Uni-Jos), and a second Masters in Business Administration(MBA), from Nassarawa State University Keffi.
His dual experience in administrative and academic proficiency had been a rallying point for the delivery of the core mandate of the centre, that had led to the impressive turn around over the years.
He also lectured at Haramaya University in Ethiopia from 2002 to 2004.
His academic prowess and collaborations had exposed the new Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC into series of partnerships and collaborations that had moved the activities of the agency forward.
He was Head of Procurement of the centre for many years, that moved the agency from relying solely on government subvention to self sustenance in the area of recurent expenditures.
Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha is happily married with children.
