The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Granite and Marble, Chief Ayom Moses Chiahemba has appealed to the good people of Benue State to have faith in the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia to transform Benue State and place it on the trajectory of unending progress.
Ayom made the appeal at his Abuja residence on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 when some guests who attended the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly visited him. He said he has known Gov. Alia for decades and believes in his prudence, probity and tenacity to reposition Benue State from its abysmal and amorphous state orchestrated by the past administration.
Ayom emphasized the need for leaders to be held accountable to enhance people-driven leadership that will be for the interest of the masses so that hope will be brought to their despair.
He said the predilection for Alia by electorates over other candidates during the March 2023 gubernatorial election in Benue State was as a result of the faith they had in Alia which he has appealed to them to continue to have such faith in Alia that he will not disappoint them but deliver on his promises.
At the dinner held on the eve of the inauguration, which was attended by Hon. Becky Orpin and other personalities from Benue State. He said the place they sat for the dinner was as a result of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume's impact. He narrated to them how Akume saved his district, Ketti, the project which is in partnership with Federal Housing Authority to develop and deliver the famous African Green Smart City. He also said Alia's Government needs to be supported by all.
Ayom is an outstanding Advocate for China-Nigeria relations. He is one of those who contributed financially to facilitate the gubernatorial campaigns of Fr. Alia and has faith in his pertinacious resistance to interruptions which will help him to propel Benue State to unprecedented heights.
