Former member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorathy Mato was honoured with a Lifetime Merit Excellence Award by City Report for her impact on humanity.
The City Report International Youth Day Awards 2023 was held yesterday at Nigeria Bible Translation Trust (NBTT) hall, Jos, Plateau State which was attended by awardees and invited guests from various parts of Nigeria.
According to the Board of Trustees of City Report, the organization has followed keenly the activities of Hon. Mato online as projected by her Media Assistant, Terfa Naswem and other media platforms over a period of five years and found her worthy to be honoured for her impact on Girl Child Education, Grassroots Politics for Local, State and National Development, Educational Institutions Development, Children,Youth and Women, Orphans and Elevating the Human Race through her Philanthropy.
She was represented by her Media Assistant, Terfa Naswem who received the award on her behalf. Hon. Mato appreciated City Report for the recognition accorded to her because she never felt her impact could go that far to be recognized even in Jos, Plateau State and be awarded.
Mato said the award has reignited her quest to touch more lives and ensure that development continues to prevail so that her community, Benue State and Nigeria at large will be cherished.
