Urges Him To Uphold Father's Virtues.
The Deputy Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has congratulated the Honourable Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu on his inauguration as a member of the Federal Executive Council.
In a congratulatory message issued by Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, a Special Assistant to the Federal Lawmaker on Monday, Rep. Halims urged the new Minister to see his appointment as an opportunity of service and strive hard to immortalise the highly revered virtues of his late father, who was the first Executive Governor of Kogi State.
The statement described the Former Governor, Late Prince Abubakar Audu as a man of no equal taste and desire in his aspirations for the Prosperity of Igala Land in particular and Kogi State at large, adding that it was his outstanding credentials as the Executive Governor of Kogi State between 1999 to 2003 that earned him the alias, “Prince of the Niger”.
The Deputy House Leader who was Chairman of the 9th House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development assured the new Minister of his willingness to cooperate with him and other critical Stakeholders in the Steel industry for a successful tenure as he charged him to work assiduously towards revitalising the Ajaokuta Steel Complex.
Furthermore, Rep. Halims commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his choice of Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu as Kogi State cabinet representative and in the same vein, thanked the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello for nominating the Minister.
