Former member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorathy Mato on Saturday, August 26, 2023 commended the Acting Executive Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA), Sir James Aondoakaa Iorpuu for finding it worthy and his family to appreciate God for the favours He has granted them.
She made this known at the Special Thanksgiving of Amazing Grace and fundraising for the completion of St. Margaret Catholic Church, Chichii, Gbatse Village, Tsambe Vandeikya, Benue State.
She said it takes one who has the love for God and humanity to appreciate God for the numerous things He has done for them. Mato who was the Mother of the Day also donated in support of the completion of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She appealed to all invited guests who were in attendance and those who were absent to support this project so that the church building will be completed sooner than later.
Sir Iorpuu appreciated Hon. Mato for standing with him in all the struggles till this moment. He said his desire to embark on the church building project is in appreciation of the wonderful wife God has given him whom transformed his life to become a better person.
The Thanksgiving Mass was attended by many dignitaries such as: the Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Barr. Sam Ode, mni who was represented by the Chairman, Benue Zone C APC Elders Forum, Bishop Pinot Obaji; Rt. Hon. Paul Biam, Chief of Staff to the Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia; Alh. Aseer Ihongo, former Vandeikya APC; Barr. Moses Atagher, Hon. Terna Emmanuel Shimawua, member, representing Kyan Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly; Hon. Mathew Damkor, member representing Tiev Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, traditional rulers amongst others.
