Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha Bags Social Impact And Human Development Award, November 17

Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha, the current Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC has been shortlisted as recipient of the year 2023 Crest TV.

Dr. Raji-Mustapha has been voted as the ‘Social Impact & Human Development Award Recipient of the Year, by Nigerians both at home and in Diaspora.

He emerged first place following his online nomination and voting by members of the general public, as monitored and confirmed by the Nigeria Service Awards panel of jury which commenced on  August 21st, through Sept 8th, 2023.

Consequently, this prestigious Award will be presented by the COA Media Group; organizers of the Nigeria Service Awards at a ceremony slated for 17th November, 2023, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.

Dr. Nasir Olaitan who obtained his first degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), he also acquired a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Applied Entomology and Parasitology from the University of Jos, and a second Masters in Business Administration(MBA), from Nassarawa State University, Keffi.

His dual experience in administrative and academic proficiency has being a rallying point for the delivery of the core mandate of the centre, which has led to an impressive progress over the years.
He had also lectured at Haramaya University in Ethiopia from 2002 to 2004.

Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha joined the service of the National Productivity Centre (NPC) as a Senior Productivity Research Officer in 1994. Preceding the aforementioned position, he was a Research Fellow with the European Economic Commission (EEC) prior to joining the Centre from 1991 to 1993.

He had undergone several local and International Productivity courses among which is the Basic and Advanced Courses for Productivity Practitioners organised by the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO).

Dr. Raji’s wealth of experience equally contributed to a great degree, the development of a robust template that has promoted training and retraining across the centre, and other departments of government, Ministries and Agencies in Nigeria.

The quality of his academic prowess spontaneously exposed him to series of partnerships and collaborations, thereby, moving the activities of the agency forward.

He was Head of Procurement of the centre for numerous years, which also moved the agency from relying solely on government subventions to self sustenance in the area of recurrent expenditures.


The prestigious Nigeria Service Awards; Third in a row, is held annually and It recognizes, honours and promotes outstanding individuals and institutions across both the public and private sectors, scoring excellence and outstanding performance in the political, social and economic spheres of the country, particularly by those whose endeavors have largely impacted the country positively in the year under review.
