PEPT; APM Resolves To Appeal Judgment, Says Electoral Act Is Sacrosanct

The National Working Committee NWC of Allied People's Movement APM has taking position against the judgement of the tribunal and proceeded to the Supreme court immediately.

The judgement given to APC according to the party was not in consonance with the electoral act, stating that it was going to the apex court for the interpretation of electoral act.

Rising from the meeting on Wednesday, the leadership of the party under Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle stated that the position of the party to appeal judgement was in the interest of Nigeria's democracy.

"Six decades after independence, the epileptic and ineffective performance of the electoral system leave much to be desired."

Yusuf maintained the decision of the party to review the judgement and the 2023 general elections,as well as upcoming Kogi , Bayelsa and Imo governorship elections occasioned the meeting.

He urged members to rededicate their loyalty to the party, as the interest of the country remained paramount.

While appealing to the state chapter for synergy, urged them to desist from anything inimical to the party .
