CIFCFIN Registrar Tasks Governments On Proactive Policies Against Fraud

By Abubakar Yusuf

The Ag Registrar, CEO and Chairman, Abuja Chapter of Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria CIFCFIN, Dr Isa Salifu has asked government at all levels to develop a template to curb fraudulent activities so as to guarantee accountability in all areas.

The Registrar bare his mind on Thursday during the maiden celebration of the 2023 international fraud week at a press conference organised by the institute in Abuja.

He said the only panacea to corrupt activities prevalent both in the private and public sectors is to partner with the institute for forensic inculcation in all it's process and activities.

Dr Salifu expressed fear on the portfolio of fraud running into 1.4 trillion in the current year 2023, and the fear of it's escalation to 3 Trillion in the next two years in 2023, stating that the resources could be protected and channeled to the provision of social services to Nigerians.

The Ag Registrar maintained that the institute is readily available for government at Federal and State level as well as the private sector to drive the economy and instill sanity in all processes.

Dr Salifu solicited for partnerships with the media aimed at propagating the digital fiscal process, to detach Nigeria  from the perennial sharp practices.
