It is with great joy and appreciation to God that we write to specially notify you all that one of Benue’s iconic and legendary leaders,His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,CON,FNIM, KSJI,the Secretary to the Government of the Federation(SGF) will by the Grace of God clock the platinum age of 70 on the 27th of December, 2023. 

Senator Dr. George Akume, CON is a patriotic Nigerian and Benue indigene who is recognized and stupendously reputed for his large scale sacrifices, service and contributions to democracy, good governance and wellbeing of humanity. He is a philanthropic leader,mentor and progressive role model whose uncompromising, conscious and consistent persuasion to uplift the wellbeing of humanity is of a global appellation. 

In line with the above, and as a mark of honour, we wish to inform you that there is an upcoming colloquium/symposium to commemorate the 70th birthday of this great leader, Senator Dr. George Akume, CON, slated for 26th December, 2023.
