The Igala cultural group has sharply criticized the former Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 Kogi State election, Engr Musa Wada, for supporting Alhaji Usman Ododo of the APC in the just-concluded election.
The group described Engr Musa Wada as a serial betrayer, alleging that he betrayed his own elder brother, Capt Musa Wada, by working against him.
The group also issues an unreserved apology to former Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris over their previous criticism, acknowledging their mistake in supporting Wada instead of Ibro's son.
According to the statement signed by Engr Lawrence Akpa and shared with journalists in Lokoja on Monday, described Wada as a serial betrayer and a serial loser who is only concerned with himself and his ego.
The statement further portrays Engr Musa Wada as a betrayal of the Igala nation, expressing regret for their previous support of the failed Peoples Democratic Party candidate.
"It is now evident that Engr Musa Wada also worked against Austin Okai in a previous election, being labeled as the worst governor from whom God delivered Kogi state.
"Lawrence urges Musa Wada to start lobbying for a position like Bello's commissioner or SSA, as that is the only political role he can aspire to in Kogi state.
"The group praised Igala's gallant performance in the election, claiming that what they won was stolen by those supported by Engr Musa Wada.
