Tinubu Will Never Allow Alia Leave APC, Will Ensure He Gets His Reelection Ticket For 2027

By Terfa Naswem

Social media have been polluted with some posts from those who are rooting for the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia to be dislodged so that he will not be reelected in 2027.

These groups of people within and outside APC have engaged in an ephemeral expedition against Alia which as a result of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will certainly hit brick wall on their expedition.

Pro-Alia groups, have on numerous occasions written didactic articles to dissuade anti-Alia groups from continuing on their dislodging expedition which might exacerbate their misadventures.

What those fighting against Alia don't know is that Tinubu has given Alia plethora support to transform Benue State for the Benefit of all. His plaudits for Alia is as a result of Alia's pedigree and tenacity to ensure development and his reelection.

Tinubu knows that Alia is the sole reason he won his presidential election in Benue State on February 25th, 2023. Most electorates in Benue State, predominantly Christians were averse to a Muslim-Muslim ticket. But Alia assured them that voting Tinubu was the only way to make him make tremendous impact on Benue State. This made most of them to vote for Tinubu against their wish.

Tinubu like Alia will be seeking reelection in 2027. With the hypeinflation, subsidy removal, devaluation of the naira and a host of other challenges confronting Tinubu administration, he still needs Alia to help him win Benue State again including other governors due to the resentment against him that is already breeding.

Tinubu is much aware that Alia is the major person that can help him win his presidential reelection in Benue State and he is not joking with this. He knows that if Alia defects to any other political party, he will not only lose his presidential reelection  in Benue State, APC as a political party in Benue will be relegated to the back bench it was during Ortom's second term.

Since Tinubu lost his presidential election in Lagos, his home, he understands the importance of an incumbent governor in presidential election, as their pedigree can turn things around like Nyesom Wike did in Rivers State which led to his victory.

With all these, Tinubu will certainly not allow Alia to leave APC to any other political party and will use his presidential powers to ensure that Alia gets his reelection ticket against all odds. Those on the expedition to stop him from getting his reelection ticket are on a mission in futility.

Anti-Alia groups should know that the plentitude of love Alia has from the good people of Benue State is a big plus on him and it will continue to propel him to the realm of acceptability and resounding pedigree.

Even if they write encyclopedia-like or epistolary articles using Fulani herdsmen attacks or other factors to discredit Alia, he will still remain in APC, gets his reelection ticket and win his reelection in 2027.
